Terminal 5 is an additional passenger terminal, offering one of the most advanced integrated passenger terminals in Europe connecting air, rail, bus and coach services. It consists of the main terminal building - which is big enough to accomodate 50 football pitches - 2 satellite buildings, 60 aircraft stands, an air traffic control tower, 4000 space multi storey car park, & along with acssociated infrastructure works.
The three companies were responsible for the design engineering and installation of services of the Terminal’s building. All have a longstanding history of using CSD products for sealing cable ducts and choosing RISE for its simplicity and speed of installation.
CSD aided the project in the installation of services by supplying RISE Duct kits and Actifoam products. These products were used throughout the Terminal’s substations and service tunnels.
Extensive on-site training has been carried out with all personnel installing the products and they have had a regular onsite presence throughout to assist with successful installation and to provide total customer satisfaction.
CSD’s products have been used to prevent gas and water ingress through cable ducts and to offer protection against rodents and rabbits entering substations.
