The RISE Single and Multi-pipe penetration system is one of the most adaptive systems for sealing straight and angled pipe penetrations in fire-rated, watertight bulkheads and decks.
Features
Only two different components are needed to create RISE Single and Multi-pipe penetrations; RISE rubber filler sleeves and FIWA sealant.
A simplified design significantly reduces the huge combination of bulkhead pieces used to accommodate all the dissimilar metals. The RISE system also has a specially designed software program. Customers can calculate the size, shape, free space and material requirement for a transit in minutes.
The RISE system allows pipes to be run eccentrically or angled through a penetration and it dramatically reduces the number of fixed points thus significantly reducing the number of templates and rework required.
It also has been shown to provide not only material cost savings but also, in addition, cost savings in time from design through to installation and through life.
Benefits
Testing Standards
To prove the outstanding quality and safety of RISE Single and Multi-pipe penetrations, they have been subjected to strict testing. They have been fire tested with insulation at one side only in worst case scenarios in accordance with IMO Res. A.754(18).
Other tests include sound tests, shock and vibration tests, rapid temperature tests, leak tests after a one hour fire test, EMC tests, A-0 test without insulation, dynamic cycling test, several configurations on watertightness and a helium gas leak test.
An integral part of any transit system is the frames which services pass through and house the sealing system.
Features
Although our sealing systems are flexible enough to be used in conjunction with any size and shape of frame, we recognize the benefits of standardization. Based on shipbuilding experience, we have found that certain designs assist with product installation. For example, frames that are designed with widths and heights that suit the type of cable tray or ladder depths means it is easier to run cables. Partitions help reduce the cable load making it easier to sleeve cabling, as well as allowing the installer to completely pack one area and also making it easier to segregate cables as they pass through the structure.
Benefits
Testing Standards
In the arduous environments of oil and gas or naval industries the frames we supply become an integral part of the ships structure. Therefore they have to meet extremely stringent standards in terms of material and fabrication as set down by our clients or by recognised Naval Engineering Standards.
All of our frames are manufactured to strict tolerances, welded using the latest technology and tested to ensure weld integrity. These processes ensure we meet the structural requirements of our clients and have been extensively tested with load testing, pressure testing and extreme levels of shock testing. This not only confirms their suitability for a ships structure, but also for use with all of our sealing systems.
