Multi-Cable Transit System:

RISE Multi-Cable Penetrations are an alternative for the casting compounds and block systems used in fire-rated/watertight bulkheads and decks.

 

RISE is a simple but highly innovative and effective multi-cable sealing system. Consisting of only two components, Fire Resistant rubber insert sleeves and Nofirno, a silicone based fire resistant and water repellant sealant.

 

Features

The penetrations are made of rubber inserts (placed around the cables) and filler sleeves.  The fire resistant rubber, low grade of expansion and halogen free rubber of the sleeves expands to five times its original volume when exposed to fire.

 

On both sides of the penetration a layer of Nofirno sealant is applied which is fire resistant and water repellent.

 

The RISE multi-cable sealing system has a specially designed software program.  Customers can calculate the size, shape, free space and material requirement for a transit within minutes.

 

The RISE system allows cables to be ducted in random order and it has been shown to be eight times faster to install than a block system and save around 25% on material cost alone.

 

It is also the most compact system on the market as it requires 60% less space than a block system to duct the exact same cables.

Testing Standards

The Multi-cable Penetrations have been fire tested on full scale bulkheads and decks in accordance with IMO Res. A.754(18).

 

Also, due to the high bonding strength and flexibility of the FIWA sealant, the penetrations could be subjected to certified pressures of up to 2.5 bar (35 psi) without any leakage.

10. Jet fire tested.
