UK MoD - CSD Sealing Systems & Coltraco Ultrasonics

It is with great pleasure to announce that CSD Sealing Systems UK and Coltraco Ultrasonics Limited have agreed to work in mutual support of their joint interests towards maintaining the watertight safety across the Naval fleet. This will utilise the RISE Multi-Cable Transit System and Portascanner Watertight used in the Royal Navy and UK MoD current projects. In addition CSD and Coltraco Ultrasonics will co-exhibit and share their expertise as speakers at Naval and Marine conferences in the UK.

CSD work closely with BAE systems as part of their supply chain in order to deliver the highest quality systems at the best possible cost. CSD have supplied RISE Norfirno and SLIPSIL Sealing Plugs across six Type 45 vessels with the products being used on all pipe and cable transits. The Type 45’s are some of the most powerful destroyers ever built for the Royal Navy, they can sail over 600 miles a day and operate around the globe.

Since 1999 CSD have forged a successful relationship with BAE, supplying products on all of their new vessel projects and supporting them through providing additional services, including installation. These projects include; the Oman Offshore Patrol Vessels, Astute SSN hunter-killer Submarine programme and currently working with BAE and Babcock on the new QEC Aircraft Carrier where CSD have a team of technicians inspecting and installing during the final construction phase at Babcock in Rosyth. BAE Systems and Babcock are part of the Aircraft Carrier Alliance (ACA), which is responsible for delivering the QE Class to the Royal Navy, members of the alliance also include Thales UK and the UK Ministry of Defence. CSD and the UK MoD use Portascanner™ Watertight in support of these programmes.
